Ashley takes a suitcase to Nepal

Ashley had an amazing trip to Nepal, and she took a suitcase too, saying “it is more apparent to me that ever how many people are in need of these supplies. This is a small gesture and the least I can do to help those in need” Read the rest below ^_^ Thank you Ashley! [NJT Toronto]

“My trip to Nepal was awesome! I saw Mt Everest and visited Everest Base Camp which was pretty cool. It’s such an amazing feeling being surrounded by the Himalayas.

Attached are some photos pertaining to my visit to the Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. It was a very busy hospital and the Director told me that this specific hospital caters to mainly low SES individuals and families living in Kathmandu and some remote areas of Nepal.

The employees were friendly and although some did not speak much English, they were very helpful in directing me to where I could deliver the suitcase. The Director was very friendly, spoke English well and offered us tea. She was so grateful for the donation which made it very worth it for me to carry this suitcase from Toronto to Nepal.

It is important for me to take a suitcase with me every time I travel because when I am abroad it is more apparent to me that ever how many people are in need of these supplies. This is a small gesture and the least I can do to help those in need. I’ll look forward to touching base again in the future to carry another case with me.

Warm Regards,
Ashley”
