Returned last week from a wonderful trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico with Keith Worley, and we were happy to bring two suitcases of medical supplies to local health care centres on the island! The hospital was very grateful to receive syringes, IV supplies, continence management supplies, saline, tracheostomy kits, surgical drape kit, etc. And the Red Cross of Isla Mujeres was happy to receive gloves, gauze, wound care supplies, etc. We passed through customs without difficulty (as usual) and met our friend and local contact Geovanny Avalos who cares deeply about wellness for the people of Isla Mujeres, and assisted with connecting with the health care centres. Next time, we will try to bring some diabetic supplies, which are badly needed on the island. Thanks to NJT Waterloo volunteers for supporting these needy communities and making a difference!- Dianne S- NJT Waterloo
