Thank you, Simran and Jasdeep, for your double delivery in Havana for NJT Vancouver last week! This was our first chance to help the busy Children’s Hospital of Central Havana (Hospital Pediatrico de Centro Habana).
Here’s what happened… Jasdeep and Simran were making a quick day trip to Havana. We said they could save time by delivering our suitcases (to which they kindly added more gifts) to a Havana charity that would get them to the hospital.
This charity obtains medical supplies from overseas (as shown in the first 2 pictures here with Simran and Jasdeep).
Next, the charity and the children’s hospital joined forces to get the NJT suitcases to the hospital. The charity added more supplies and the hospital’s little car could barely hold it all 🙂
We don’t have pictures of that part. But these final 2 pictures show Jasdeep and Simran’s suitcases received by a vice-director of the children’s hospital. She’s pictured on the right.
