“Once again Richard and I had another successful visit to Cuba. We had originally planned on going into Matanzas to the cancer clinic, this time for the geriatric ward but the Doctor was unavailable. His father had passed away that morning and he would not be available for our meeting. With very few days left to go for our vacation, a friend of our who lives in Cardenas arranged for us to visit a small house clinic for pediatrics.
Dr. Leidi was very accomodating considering the clinic was closed for the day and she was in the middle of preparing dinner for her family. This is a very small clinic which she runs out of her house. She was extremely appreciative of the present of the medical supplies. Thank you once again for helping us to make the less fortunate a little more fortunate.”
