“El Pantanal is a very poor barrio about 5 km south of the city of Granada, Nicaragua, in the direction of the Mombacha volcano. This clinic, the El Pantanal clinic, is where I made the drop. I was directed here by the Casa de mujeres , a social improvement organization in Granada. They were very grateful for the donation and I was assured that this was the right recipient.
There are several charities working in El Pantanal and people often do volunteer stints there to build small block and wood houses, or make Adobe brick which is then used to construct houses in the barrio.
There are quite a few expats, often Canadian, living and working here so I will try to spread the word about Not Just Tourists.”-
