“We had an amazing trip! We stayed in a local casa in Havana for most of the trip and spent one night in beautiful Vinales. There were no issues bringing the suitcase into Cuba.
The clinic information can be seen in one of the photos. It was in a more residential area, Vedado, in Havana. The hospital appeared to be in okay shape. The staff were very excited by the delivery!
I am currently completing my Masters in Clinical Engineering and am passionate about healthcare. I was thrilled to discover the organization (Not Just Tourists) while preparing for the trip. I was so happy to 1) be able to bring these items to people in need, and 2) prevent these items from going to waste in Canada. It was an effortless experience and I will definitely bring a suitcase next time I travel.
