“I can’t emphasize enough how very grateful Dr. Daniel Gonzales was to receive everything. As a matter of fact, as soon as we opened the suitcase, he took out some bandages and gave them to his nurse as they needed them so badly! Dr. Gonzales is a Family Physician but also specializes in Ob/Gyn and Diving issues as Belize is a very popular diving destination. He actually has a hyperbaric chamber in his clinic. He is also trying to encourage more physicians to join him as he literally works 24/7 and has a birthing room there. There was actually a woman in labour the day we were there!
It is so important for us to take the suitcase there as we know so well how much it means to the very busy clinic and how difficult it is to get medical supplies there.
Because we go to Belize annually, we have done many of the activities there over the years, but I especially love the scuba diving and had some wonderful dives there during our stay where we swam with nurse sharks, saw moray eels, a lion fish, turtles and a host of other beautiful fish.
Thank you for allowing us to take the suitcase to the clinic. It was truly appreciated by all who work there.
