Not Just Tourists Manitoba – Winnipeg wishes to thank Tim and Gloria for taking supplies to Varadero, Cuba! They write:
“Thank you for providing this opportunity for us to help the Cuban people!
This was our first time taking supplies with us on our vacation, as we just found out about NJT shortly before we left.
It worked out really well as there was a clinic right across the street from our hotel (Starfish Cuatro Palmas) in downtown Varadero.
The staff there were quite busy but took time to receive us, fill out paper work and pose for pictures.
One thing we could recommend is a guided excursion to Havana, very interesting history.
Why would we take a suitcase of supplies? The people of Cuba are caught in a political struggle that is causing a hardship they don’t deserve. Cuban people are so much like Canadians that we feel a special connection with them.
We can recommend NJT to anyone travelling to Cuba or any country on the list.
We will definitely be carrying a suitcase with us next time we travel to Cuba.”
