About Carmen’s visit to the children’s hospital ‘Jose Luis Miranda’ in Santa Clara, Cuba:
Carmen reports that her suitcase delivery for Vancouver went smoothly from start to finish. Customs at Varadero was easy and she was able to drop off her medical suitcase during a visit to Santa Clara. She and friends had hired a driver to take them there to see the sights. She had chosen to help a Santa Clara hospital as she felt the need there was greater than in the more touristed areas she stayed in (Varadero).
That was a great decision. The staff at Jose Luis Miranda learned in advance of her visit and it was so important to them that hospital board members and doctors assembled to welcome Carmen and her friends.
One of the doctors was especially happy with NJTV’s suitcase because badly-needed pediatric surgical products had appeared in time for some of her upcoming procedures with children.
