“The healthcare centre is located East of the downtown core in a low-income neighbourhood called Tassia. It’s quite close to the NBO airport although the neighbourhood roads are unpaved with many obstacles. Our driver was very surprised we wanted to go there as most tourists don’t venture that way.
As I didn’t get a chance to reach out to them beforehand, they were surprised at our arrival and initially skeptical of our donation. However after spending a few minutes sharing the organization’s work and showing them the contents of the suitcase, they were very surprised and grateful for the gift!”
