We had no trouble getting the bag through Panamanian customs. We had not realized that we had to arrange with Air Canada ahead of time to take the extra bag for free, but fortunately our flight allowed two checked bags each, so we didn’t have to pay anything.
There was some confusion about the clinic that we were taking it to, until the helpful police officer found that the name was actually the name of the doctor, not the clinic itself. The clinic was closed when we arrived, but the attached pharmacy was open and they allowed us to leave the bag in the doctor’s office. The photo I am including is of me with the pharmacist.
We will definitely take more supplies with us, the next time we go to Panama, or anywhere else!
