“On this trip to Cuba, I went with 3 other women. We incorporated our trip to the hospital in Santa Cruz with a trip to Havana. It turned out our guide was from Santa Cruz and knew where to go. She talked about her experiences with hospital stays and the lack of supplies/equipment. She was thrilled to be part of the process and interpreted for us. She was in tears when she saw what was in the suitcase.”
