NJT Manitoba – Winnipeg wishes to thank Isabelle and Steve for taking supplies to Cuba! Isabelle writes:
Our trip to Cuba was amazing! The resort was great, the beaches were beautiful, the food was good, and the people there are so friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our trip.
The drop off of both suitcases (myself and my husband Steve each had one) went well. We had a local that works at the resort bring us to the hospital in her hometown where most people there are very poor. She came with us as our translator. The staff was so happy with the supplies.
After our medical supply drop off we continued our trip by bringing food, gifts, and toys for the children of the town. The resort worker “takes care” of 10 families in need. We went and visited 5 of them right into their homes. We got to see the “real” Cuba and meet these families we were bringing stuff for. They were so grateful for everything we brought to them. This melted our hearts to see them so happy.
Our resort member truly is an angel to these families. She gives so much to the community.
Even though our day was filled with happy tears, we were fortunate enough to experience this.
