From Jeremy Ogul of San Diego,
“I delivered one large suitcase to the Policlínico Comunitario Elena Fernández de Castro in the rural town of Los Palacios, Cuba, on December 26, 2023. The hospital staff graciously provided me with a tour of the facility and explained the importance of donations to support their day-to-day operations. They pointed out, for example, that the air conditioner unit in the ICU room was a donation. They also said that several of the items in the suitcase would be very helpful, as normally patients have to travel to another clinic more than 13 miles away to get access to that kind of treatment.”
Thank you Jeremy, and thanks also to Gabrielle Reilly, who supplies our San Diego Travellers.
