“We had a great a time in Cuba. We were able to deliver both suitcases to the General Hospital in Moron, Cayo Coco. .. However, there were some slight hiccups. The closest hospital is about an hour away by taxi from any of the resorts.
All in all, after lots of waiting and phone calls they graciously accepted and as you can see, they were still okay with a picture. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would do it again. However, I am a pretty seasoned traveler and have some understanding of Spanish. I would recommend, that future volunteers be notified of these difficulties so they have an easier time and are not deterred to continue this great tradition. “
– Thank you to Dylan Guarda, Cayo Coco, Cuba for going the extra mile and being more than Just a Tourist. Hiccups noted for future travellers, but encouragingly undeterred!
