We would like to thank Les King and Monica King for supplying a clinic with two Not Just Tourists suitcases on their recent trip to Belize!
“Monica and I have successfully delivered the two suitcases to the public medical clinic in San Pedro, Belize.
We have made the contacts and collected the information about what kind of help they most require.
Owen Vellos is the director of this and one other clinic. He runs the public clinics which rely on government funding and donations to operate.
If others plan to go to Belize just let us know and we can help make the introductions and request up to date information about current needs.
Nurse Rose in the pics below was especially appreciative and taken ” a back” when realizing BOTH suitcases were staying that they didn’t have to pick and choose articles out of them.
This clinic is central to the community and has led the charge against violence there. A little boy got shot in crossfire over drugs a few months back and since then the community has pulled together to avoid this tragedy in the future.
Thanks again for the opportunity. We would definitely do it again.”
