“We were able to drop the suitcase off at a low-funded government children’s hospital in Delhi, India and it was very appreciated. The hospital was a very very large place, with many patients in the hallways etc. Here is a photo we took:
It was important for us to take a suitcase as we strongly believe in the cause- that being a two-part positive result in regards to taking a suitcase. One, that perfectly good medical equipment and items are being prevented from ending up in landfill, and two, that it is going to a place where it might otherwise not have been an option. We believe it kind of helps to offset our “tourist carbon footprint” by making our trip valuable beyond just that of selfish reasons, and hope to be able to do it again in the future. “- Tara K, NJTT
