From Mary Tao: “Our newest member of our organization (called Agape Belize Cure), Deshawn Castillo, delivered the suitcase for us.
Deshawn was a patient whom we saw on our Belize medical mission in June 2018. He was in a car accident in May 2018 and fractured his neck causing almost complete paralysis from the neck down. He was given grim outcome by numerous doctors. Our team gave him simple materials and education on rehab, and to our surprise he returned to our clinic this year able to take a few steps! He has since wanted to join us so that he can use his knowledge that he self learned online (and from our team) to help others in Belize. We are all so proud and appreciative of him helping us! We are hoping to get a gait trainer / walker for Deshawn either NJT. And we are so grateful for your organization for providing the much needed medical supplies to these areas, and helping our medical mission team to provide services that we would not have the budget to do otherwise.
