We are excited to share photos of our first vacation traveller since February. Maki Kuraoka Rheaume and her husband traveled to the Dominican Republic and took two large suitcases of medical supplies. Maki discovered us through our partnership with Pack for a Purpose (PfaP.) PfaP works with the Puntacana Foundation. Due to the pandemic, Maki gave the supplies to Margarita from the foundation, who delivered them to the clinic. Here’s what Maki had to say,
“Whole process was very smooth and easy! Due to pandemic, everyone had to wear a mask in the airport and during the flight which does not bother me or my family at all. We feel much safer in Dominican Republic than going to grocery stores in US since everyone over there was following the rules!
Overall, I am very happy that I was able to be part of Not Just Tourist and I can tell how much these supplies are appreciated by just talking and meeting Margaret!
I will continue to be a part of this organization!
