Hola Claudia! The trip has been great, we come home tomorrow. We brought our medical suitcases to a clinic here in Varadero that is being completely renovated. The building was built in 1936, is 3 stories high & has an amazing view of the ocean! They said it should be finished & fully operational by April. They were extremely grateful as always for the supplies! They have so little & need these items to help make a difference for the locals in the region. It will have 1 operating room for smaller type surgeries, an emergency ward with 4 beds & a total of 15 beds for recovering patients! A local fella we met at the market picked us up in his scooter truck, we got stopped by the police because he doesn’t have a permit to transport tourists but he explained to them what we were doing & they agreed to let him take us with a police escort! Just another adventure in Cuba!
