From Celina della Croce, “We handed in the first of the suitcases earlier this week and will be handing in the second tomorrow in a different community. I wanted to share that the women who received the suitcase along with the community doctor were literally in tears. One of the women in the community has a sister who has been unable to get heart surgery because they can’t afford the medical supplies that are unavailable to them as a result of economic situation, and there is another community member who is in dire need of a kidney transplant but has not been able to purchase the supplies needed to have the operation at the public hospital since the public system no longer has the funds to provide supplies for the operations. These supplies are so crucial, and I just wanted to thank you.”
