“There are 3 clinics in Taiama. Judy Smith Health Centre is the smallest of the 3, but is highly regarded and considered essential. The midwives support 50-60 births a year, in addition to a community health nurse’s regular health clinic. The midwives were very excited about the supplies we brought from Not Just Tourists. They were especially excited about the umbilical clips! All the supplies are much needed, and now I know more specifically what is useful and needed. We hope to have 2 midwives go to Taiama in November/December to do some emergency skills training and they will be able to take another suitcase of supplies.” – Lauri
