Here’s what Lucy shared with us about the experience:
“Thank you so much for all of the items. I took them to the Nephrology Institute of Havana. It’s the nephrology centre for the county and patients come from all over for kidney treatment. The hospital also provides general medical and surgical procedures.
It was an extremely humbling experience. They were over the moon with the items and brought four specialists and the head of nursing to say thank you. To say they were desperate for supplies is an understatement. For example, the hospitals have no catheters and no catheter bags.”
