Robyn and Aysha delivered a suitcase to a clinic in San Juan, Cuba!
Here’s what Robyn shared with us about the experience:
“When I was in Cuba 6 years ago, I met Julio, who lives in the part of Mayabeque province where we were staying and offered birdwatching excursions. I’m an avid birdwatcher, and Julio and I went on long birding walks around the areas surrounding the resort. Despite visiting that part of Cuba last year, Julio wasn’t around. This year, we – magically – were able to reconnect with him after running into someone he works with. I told him while we were birding about the medical supplies, and he and another friend offered to take us to a small clinic in San Juan— a farming community a few miles from where we were staying. We met the doctor and a clinic worker, both women, working at the clinic that day, as well as a few neighbours.”
