Toronto – Volunteer

Not Just Tourists is run entirely by volunteers, who come from all walks of life. You do not need medical training to participate.

The best way to get started as a volunteer with NJT Toronto is to come to the weekly Packing Party (scroll down for details). At the Packing Party, volunteers sort donated medical supplies and pack them into suitcases that travelers deliver to clinics in need. Volunteers also work on special projects, meet with travelers and share weekly updates during this time, making it a great way to get started and gain the experience needed to take on other roles.

If you are unable to attend a Packing Party, volunteers with no NJT experience can also help with tasks such as:

Picking up / dropping off supplies
Hosting suitcase drives
Delivering outreach material (i.e. fliers)
Telling your friends and family about Not Just Tourists

Volunteer Application Form

Please fill out the application below to join NJT Toronto’s team of amazing volunteers. Within 1-5 days you will receive an email from a NJTT Volunteer Coordinator to welcome you and confirm the details of your application. If you have any questions you can reach a NJTT Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] .

To get more involved at the Packing Parties or behind the scenes, talk to one of our Volunteer Coordinators during the Pack or email [email protected]. Taking on roles beyond the Pack or the tasks listed above typically requires some experience within NJT but our Volunteer Coordinators are happy to discuss your ideas and volunteer aspirations.
